CHOKER
Chokers were an incredible success around the world in the 1990s, a very curious object that always caught my attention and that is having a comeback among teenagers. These weird elasticated plastic necklaces become the starting point to develop this sandal idea/concept as humoristic tribute to figures of our childhood such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch (the Melissa Joan Hart version obviously), Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon. Lovely girls who as I see it would have been delighted to rock a footwear style matching their beloved choker, building a total look worthy of any Nickelodeon or Teen Choice Awards red carpet. The prototype has been developed by hand using upcycled chokers and a repurposed flat sandal outsole.
