La Sandalia de las Flores
Spring has definitely sprung and we start to see the end of this unprecedented situation, it seems like soon we will be able to enjoy the outdoors again. That is why I made this exercise at home, completely covering a recicled platform sandal with natural flowers from my garden. The references behind it are plenty, but mainly the wonderfully contemporary soap opera “La Casa de las Flores”. A sandal imagined to be made in the same way floral bouquets are arranged, just like the ones Paulina and Virginia de la Mora elaborate in the show. An ephemeral sandal as tribute to this incredible characters who struggle with their messy lives and unstable mental health, like many of us have done during this days.
