P I N E A P P L E

My dear friend Victoria Salsas is currently developing a series of prints and she kindly let me interpret one of them to make whatever I wanted. The selected option, a handmade crayon stripe pattern has some sort of 1980s vibe, a decade we both cherish and admire because of its incredibly bold wallpapers and fabrics. For some reason it looked tropical to me, and since we are Carmen Miranda the idea was finally clear. A pineapple converted into a kind of Memphis Milano pineapple as heel hommage to Andrea Pfister, featuring the pattern silkscreen printed by us at the workshop. The resulting black nappa asymmetrical mule is finished with a fringe trim reminiscent of the linear mood her print has, and a footbed with the print too of course.
