The Dinner Shoe

Franco Moschino’s “The Dinner Jacket” has always fascinated and mesmerised me. A postmodern/kind of dada object that makes the viewer laugh and wonder how can cutlery look so sophisticated as a fashion embellishment. Besides from the jacket the collection included pin brooches that could be removed from your piece of clothing to eat with them, or comb your hair maybe if you had Ariel’s syndrome. With that in mind I decided that the infamous look needed matching shoes with forks and spoons as the heel. I am unaware of what shoes did Franco chose for the ensemble but I truly hope they would have been something like these.
